Fun Things To Do in Burnet

Longhorn Cavern State Park 

This is a great place to take the family! Plenty of outdoor activities and a beautiful cavern you can leisurely explore or choose to cave it primitively. Longhorn Cavern State Park has a sister park, Inks Lake State Park, where you can boat, fish, water ski, camp, hike, and more! You don't want to miss the Devil's Waterhole!

Falkenstein Castle

You can see this Bavarian castle deep in the Hill Country from the Observation Tower at Longhorn Cavern State Park. This is a wedding venue or private event center, but now do rentals for weekend getaways. Private tours are currently not happening, but definitely check back once you come to visit...or better yet move here!

Lake Buchanan

Lake Buchanan is a must for locals and visitors! They have something for everybody! Fishing, boating, great swimming, and places to sunbathe, the Vanishing Texas Cruises up the river that takes you to Texas-sized waterfalls and on a journey to see the eagle's that nest there seasonally.

Burnet Bluebonnet Festival

Live music, a demolition derby, a pet parade, a Weiner dog race, and all sorts of children's activities makes this an event fun for all ages! This annual carnival is in April and offers fun food, races of all kinds, and lots of shopping!
